Everyone’s second favourite pan-European lottery, EuroJackpot, has now removed its 12 rollover cap rule. This means that the jackpot will continue to rollover indefinitely to a maximum jackpot value of €90 million!
This may mean that its now impossible for a Eurojackpot 2nd tier prize winner to walk off with the jackpot BUT it also means that jackpots are now free to climb much higher without any restrictions.
As you may remember, on the 10th August 2012, a lucky German lotto player walked away with both the jackpot prize and the 2nd tier prize after being the only winner in the top 2 tiers after 12 rollovers. Effectively demonstrating that it was possible to win the jackpot without actually winning the lottery!
New Countries Taking Part In EuroJackpot
In addition to the new rollover legislation implemented this month a number of new countries have joined the EuroJackpot family. More participating countries means higher jackpots.
The six new countries added to the lottery are: Croatia, Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, Norway and Iceland.
As you can see, both new changes are indicative of much higher jackpots for this amazing European lottery. We cannot wait and we bet you can’t either!
Since its inaugural draw on the 23rd March 2012 the EuroJackpot has made some very lucky lotto players very wealthy. The current record for the biggest jackpot won was set on January 25, 2013 where a single lucky prize-winner won an amazing €29.5 million jackpot.
Let’s see how close we can get to that top jackpot of €90 million! In fact, why not set an Intelliplay instruction on your account to automatically play a ticket in Eurojackpot when the jackpot hits €90 million?
Alternatively, if €13 million sounds pretty good to you, then take a ticket for Friday’s draw! You got to be in it, to win it!
