Part of having a really, really, ridiculously huge bank account is being able to make (almost) any dream come true. No matter how strange or bizarre the dream may be, money can very often make it happen. Let’s take a look at one of Adrian Bayford’s dreams!
Adrian Bayford leapt to fame as one half of a record-breaking jackpot winning couple. In August this year Adrian and his wife Gillian took home €190 million on the Euromillions lottery. Adrian has been somewhat slow on the uptake to realise his enormous increase in wealth as he continues to work at his music store along with having been spotted purchasing more lotto tickets just a short while after his win.
It seems that the good news may finally be sinking in for Adrian as he lets his imagination run wild. And let’s be honest, when it comes to a bank balance of €190 million (never mind the interest earned on that amount) the imagination could really get carried away with itself.
It would come as no surprise that music shop owner Adrian is in fact a big fan of music! His tastes run towards the heavier rock side including bands like Deep Purple and Iron Maiden. Adrian recently let slip that he would love to use some of his winnings to organise a reunion of the classic heavy rock band, Guns ‘N Roses.
Although the band still exists and tours, the original lineup has not appeared together in many, many years. Original drummer Steven Adler was first to go followed by guitarist Izzy Stradlin. The remaining members continued as a band until the mid-nineties before imploding. Front man Axl Rose now remains as the only original member of the band.
Although nowhere near as appealing as they once were the current line-up can still command an impressive $1 million Dollars for a private performance, like the one they recently gave to Russian billionaire Alexander Chistyakov.
This isn’t good enough for Adrian Bayford though who insists that the band would have to feature the original lineup of Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan and Steven Adler.
"I think I would just have to get Guns ‘N Roses together — the original line-up, mind. I am a real fan."
Music insiders think it’s highly unlikely that the band will reunite irrespective of the amount offered. They were not even seen together at their recent induction into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame. Perhaps Adrian can persuade them somehow, who knows?
Will Adrian’s dream of reuniting Guns ‘N Roses come true? If there was any band or musician alive today that you could have perform at your lottery winners celebration party, who would it be?
