The National Lottery is making the biggest changes in 21 years. It’s all about extra numbers and bigger jackpots!
For the past 21 years, the UK National Lottery has been making lottery players instant millionaires and making their dreams a reality. Now, after 21 years, they have decided to make some huge changes to the beloved lotto game and by doing so, we will see even more instant millionaires being made. In fact, UK Lotto players will be pleased to know that the average jackpot prizes should triple in size!

The following changes will be made to the UK Lottery:
- Guaranteed £1 million winner in each draw.
- Bigger jackpots.
- Odds of hitting the jackpot will stand at 1 in 45,057,474.
- An increase from 49 to 59 balls to choose from.
- A brand new prize for matching just two numbers.
- Lotto Hotpicks ball pool rises to 59, with the top prize for picking and matching five numbers increasing to £350,000.
One of the first changes UK Lotto enthusiasts will notice, is the fact that Camelot will be introducing the Millionaire Raffle. With every ticket you play, you will stand the chance to not only win the jackpot but a guaranteed 1 million pounds! The Millionaire Raffle will have two prize tiers one guaranteed £1 million prize and 20 guaranteed prizes of £20,000. The draw will take place every time there’s a draw. They will draw the £1 million winning raffle number first, followed by the 20 prizes of £20,000.
Lucky Dip Draw
The Luck Dip feature give UK Lotto players who have matched 2 numbers in the draw another chance to win millions! The Lucky Dip is essentially a free entry to play again. Player’s cannot however, take the cash equivalent. These Lucky Dip tickets will be automatically generated, regardless of whether you have played online or in stores.
10 extra balls will be added to the UK Lotto. At the moment a players selects 6 numbers from 1 to 49. From October, Lotto players will have 59 numbers to choose from instead of 49.
When will the changes be implemented?
The UK Lotto changes will be implemented for the draw that takes place on the 10th October, 2015. You will have to wait until the 8th October, 2015 however, before you can buy your UK Lottery ticket with the changes incorporated though.
Unlike some lotteries, the price has not changed at all. The only major difference is that you will have more numbers to choose from and more to play for.
The main reason that the UK Lottery exists is due to the fact that they raise funds for Good Causes. The more funds they raise, the more they will be able to assist communities who need it the most.
