Back in August of the year 2012, Adrian Bayford, aged 44 won the £148 million EuroMillions jackpot. He initially shared the prize with his wife, but they got a divorce a few months after their big win. Adrian is now splurging his winnings on his new fiancée. Read further to find out what he’s been doing with his winnings, and for the latest EuroMillions results.
Bayford celebrated his huge EuroMillions Jackpot win back in 2012 by ordering a takeaway pizza. He certainly has spent a lot more money since the win, though. Since he split up from his wife, Gillian, a year after their windfall, Bayford has often hit the headlines. He has spent over £2 million on his new fiancée by spoiling her with horses and stables. Earlier this year, he also apparently upset a few people after buying up a series of properties.
Bayford met his fiancée, Sam, 15 months ago. At that time she was a groom mucking out stables. Adrian fell in love with her and proposed just 6 weeks later. Sam obviously quit her job in England, and has been living with Adrian since.
The EuroMillions lottery winner has splurged his winnings on at least ten horses (a close friend of his claims it could even be as many as 20), a fleet of horseboxes including one worth £100,000 which has everything but a mobile disco. He also purchased the Forest Edge Arena, near Suffolk. This 35-acre property is located on the edge of a gorgeous pine forest, with both indoor and outdoor riding arenas.
His fiancée’s Facebook page shows pictures of her show jumping abroad and how she recently competed at an event held in Spain. A friend of Adrian’s said,
“Adrian had nothing to do with horses before he met Sam, apart from putting on the odd couple of quid at the bookies. Everyone knows she loves horses and I guess he wants to help her with her passion and dreams. He has to invest money in something so why not put it into something that Sam is interested in? I can understand it; she is the woman he loves.”
The new happy couple now live together in a £6 million mansion and Adrian employs staff to run their stables. His previous wife also found new love after their divorce. So in this story, everyone had a happy ending.
