A Bulgarian Euromillions winner has walked off with a tidy sum of one million British Pounds – or should that be ‘jumped off’?
Georgi Traykov, a Bulgarian man living in London, UK, has celebrated his lucky Euromillions windfall by sky-diving with his winning Euromillions ticket. Some people will be content to simply jump for joy but Georgi wanted to jump from a plane.
For 43-year-old Georgi Traykov this is nothing new though (the parachute jump, not the Euromillions win) as he is a former member of the Bulgarian national sky diving team.
“I figured that jumping with a million pounds must be worth a beer”, Traykov is quoted as saying.
The Bulgarian Euromillions winner had almost forgotten about his lottery ticket played on the 6th September 2011. He even continued playing other lottery games before remembering to check his ticket. After being told by a terminal operator to contact the lottery operators about collecting his winnings he still went about his daily business before officially sitting down to check his lottery ticket online at 2am.
Georgi, the lucky Bulgarian, had the following comments to make about his own luck in life:
“I generally consider myself lucky. I have a beautiful daughter, a great home and a job I truly love”…
Georgi says that he will be using his Euromillions winnings to help his daughter in life, especially helping her with her sky diving training. “Although she's only 12 she is already 'jumping' at a wind tunnel in Milton Keynes," he says.
Wherever you are in life or wherever you may find yourself, sometimes luck will find you!
