One of the most significant decisions you can make in your life is starting your own business. It will give you some freedom to spend more quality time with your family and also give them the lifestyle you know they deserve.
Your business is your pride and joy, and watching it grow and be profitable is an exciting, yet rewarding experience. The truth is running a business to ensure it is successful requires a lot of blood, sweat, tears and sacrifices.
Being an entrepreneur is challenging and it comes with a huge responsibility, as the livelihood and well-being of your employees and their families are in your hands. As any savvy business person would be aware of, there are some situations beyond your control that can affect your business and the livelihood it supports.
It is a situation that Rajan Kurian, an Indian businessman from Kottayam, Kerala found himself in. The 43-year-old father of two was contemplating closing down his construction business, which was struggling to stay afloat due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The fate of his business changed for the better after winning the US $1,000,000 jackpot in the Dubai Duty-Free (DDF) Millionaire lottery draw. Kurian said that he was grateful for winning the Dubai lottery jackpot as his future looked bleak because of the gloomy outlook caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Part of his winnings from the Dubai lottery will be invested in his struggling business.
“The last few months have been tough with the COVID-19 situation. My business has come to a standstill. This money will be put to good use,” he said.
What the new Dubai lottery draw millionaire is excited about is putting money aside for his two children’s education and to secure their future.
“I will set aside a good part of my win to help the needy. I feel grateful with the win, but I need to share it with the people who need it,” Kurian added.
