Go Crazy With Mailer Madness

We’ve moved into the second and last week of both the Wimbledon tennis tournament and our Mailer Madness competition.

Have you answered the first two questions yet? Hopefully you are on your way to taking home one of the 4 play credit prizes of £500.00 up for grabs! Now pay very close attention as we finish off our list of the 5 Greats of Wimbledon...

The answer to the third question is somewhere in this news item...

5 Wimbledon Greats by PlayHugeLottos.com (part 2)

Nadal versus Federer in 2008

Also known to many as ‘The greatest tennis match ever seen.’ Rafael Nadal steadied his nerve for a 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7 victory that was twice interrupted by rain. Nadal became the first man since Bjorn Borg, in 1980, to do the French Open and Wimbledon double in the same summer.

After his historic win Nadal climbed up into the stands to embrace his family and then walked across the roofs of the television commentary boxes to reach the Royal Box, where he shook the hand of Spain’s Crown Prince.

This is the kind of jubilant celebration we would expect from an athlete taking home their sports greatest prize and also, of course, from a lottery player finding out they had just taken home a multi-million Euro jackpot!

Martina Navratilova makes it to 9

THE greatest women's player in history, Martina dominated the ladies' championship throughout the mid-1980s. She won an unparalleled six consecutive singles titles between 1982 and 1987 to write her name into the history books.

But it was in 1990 when she won Wimbledon for the ninth time — breaking a record that had stood since 1938 — that she became the undisputed Queen of Centre Court.

Not content with simply taking home the Singles championship trophy, she has also won 11 Wimbledon Doubles championships.

Her total of 20 Wimbledon championship victories is a record that she shares with her friend and one-time doubles partner, Billie Jean King.

Pat Cash and his black and white headband

Truly a tennis player with a name that lottery players can relate to!

Pat CASH, with his black and white headband, broke tradition by climbing up the grandstand to enjoy the win with his family — creating a modern tradition all of his own that has frequently been followed at Grand Slam tournaments since.

The flamboyant Aussie had just beaten world No1 Ivan Lendl 7-6, 6-2, 7-5 after seeing off Mats Wilander in the quarter-finals and Jimmy Connors in the semis.

There you have it, 5 Wimbledon Greats brought to you by PlayHugeLottos.com. In case you are wondering, these are not listed in any order. They are simply 5 examples of why Wimbledon is such an amazing tennis tournament.

Feel free to suggest your own great moment in the comment section below and receive free lottopoints for doing so. But first make sure you answer Question 3 on our Mailer Madness competition page.

If you’ve just pitched up late to the party, don’t worry, you can catch up with the first 2 questions by checking our Newsletter Archives for the mailers sent on the 24th June and 27th June. Good luck!

Whether one wins in the mailer madness competition or not, one gets more than the winning joy, by reading continuously the Wimbledon episodes excellently narrated by Jason Williams. Hats off to him!

Have answered 3 of the 4 questions and am waiting in anticipation. My moment was when Pat Cash went to the grand stands celebrating after winning.
