Facebook Syndicate Win On EuroMillions

We all love social media. Not only do we keep in touch with our friends and family, we can also keep up to date with the latest brands – and in our case, the lottery.  One man, by the name of Gary Schei, took this to the next level by creating a lottery syndicate and low and behold his Facebook lottery syndicate scooped a staggering £1.1 million on the EuroMillions, earning all 38 syndicate members a cool £21,213 each. I’m sure you will agree that there must have been quite a few likes, comments and a whole lot of sharing taking place.

Gary Shei set up the lottery syndicate on Facebook two and a half years ago, due to the fact that he wanted his friends and family to join him in the excitement of playing the EuroMillions.  As the only place all of them were connected to was Facebook, he decided that it would be the perfect platform.

Gary’s Players

The Facebook lottery syndicate, named “Gary’s Players” is rather a huge network of people all over the country and are although most have never even met each other, they are all in some way connected to Gary.

Gary manages the group and had four shares in the syndicate, which after a few calculations, gives him a very tidy £84,852 from the EuroMillions win. He plans to contribute a huge share of his win to pay off his mortgage, spoil his family with a few treats as well as a holiday for his nine year old daughter.

When asked how the other member’s of his winning Facebook lottery syndicate reacted, Gary said that they all reacted differently when they found out that they had won the prize. The morning after the EuroMillions draw, Gary started calling around informing his syndicate of the extraordinary lotto luck.  He received reactions from screaming to tears and stunned silence.

One member of the syndicate lady went out and bought herself her dream motorbike - a pink Harley-Davidson, while another winner sent Gary a picture of their credit card that they had cut up into pieces.

Despite some of the EuroMillions players never having met, Mr Schei is hopeful that this win will change that in the near future. “Hopefully one day in the not too distant future we’ll all be able to get together and celebrate. The win really has made such a difference to so many people, it's fantastic," said Gary.

EuroMillions Weekend Results

Last Friday, the 20th March 2015, there were no players who were lucky enough to scoop up the main prize in the latest EuroMillions draw.  Six EuroMillions lottery players did however manage to match the five main numbers and a star number giving them a very handy 270,942.50. A further seven players also matched their 5 main EuroMillions numbers and will take home € 77,412.10 each. Not bad for a few seconds work indeed. The fourth tier brought in a total of 52 players each winning €5,210.40 for simply matching four numbers, as well as both of the Star balls.  All of the results of the most recent draw, along with the winning lottery numbers have been provided in table below:

It's a far easier way to work on the lotteries with a syndicate on social networking websites!
