Will Serena ever lose?
Well, she did lose this time last year when Virginie Razzano knocked her out in the first round. If her performance on Sunday against 83rd-ranked Anna Tatishvili is anything to go by then she looks set for a smashing tournament.
Serena is currently ranked No.1 in the world has been unbeatable lately and arrives in Paris having won a career-high 24 consecutive matches.
Rafael Nadal the hot favourite
Nadal is the hot favourite in the men's tournament at the moment and most likely to see his reign continue in the French Open this year. There is a lot of pressure on the Spanish number one especially after sliding to third rank in the global rankings and he will look to close down the gap by securing the points with the successful title defence.

Prize money at the French Open will rise significantly for both singles champions and players who lose in some of the early rounds.
