UK National Lottery:
The UK National Lottery, or UK Lotto, is played with enthusiasm by lottery players all over the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man every week. Unlike other national lotteries that are operated by the government, it is privately-owned by the Camelot Group under government licence and regulated by the National Lottery Commission. To participate, lottery players purchase tickets with their choice of six main numbers between 1 and 49. If a player does not want to choose numbers manually, there is the ‘Lucky Dip’ option which generates an automatic set of numbers for the lottery player. During the draw, the six number balls are chosen at complete random from the barrel. This is followed by a final singular number ball, called the ‘Bonus Ball’. This final number creates more prize tiers because it is only applies to players who matched five out of the six main numbers. If a player has matched all six main numbers, they are awarded the jackpot prize, which starts at £2.5 million on the Wednesday lotto and £5 million on the Saturday draw.
The jackpot prize for the EuroMilllions lottery has a roll over limit of an incredible €190 million, so it’s no wonder this is one of the largest jackpots available around the globe. It is available in nine participating countries; Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. There are seven numbers chosen in the EuroMillions draw, five main plus two ‘Lucky Star’ numbers, and players need to match all seven to be guaranteed the jackpot prize. Since 2009, as an added bonus for entering the EuroMillions, players are automatically entered into the Millionaire Raffle - an extra raffle-style lotto that awards its winners with exciting cash prizes.
This popular lottery game available in 45 jurisdictions in the United States has awarded jackpot prizes every month since its launch in 1996. The Mega Millions jackpot begins at a whopping $12 million, with secondary prizes reaching as much as $250,000. This lottery has a unique two-barrel structure that has increased the odds of winning secondary prizes. The first barrel draws out five main numbers from a selection ranging 1 to 56 and the second picks the ‘Mega’ number from a selection between 1 and 46, creating a total of six numbers. Matching all six numbers drawn guarantees the jackpot prize.
The US Powerball lottery has a unique feature - the Powerball - that combines with the main white number balls to create nine possible winning combinations. This also raises the odds of winning a prize in the Powerball lottery to 1 in 32, making this a fun and exciting lottery to play. If players accurately match the main white number balls with the red Powerball, they are awarded the jackpot prize.

This Australian national lottery is popular for its minimum jackpot prize of $2 million and roll overs that create jackpot prize pay outs of as much as $50 million. To enter, players choose seven ‘winning’ numbers from a range between 1 and 45. During the draw, the seven ‘winning’ numbers are drawn and if a player matches these, they are guaranteed the jackpot prize. The draw also consists of two ‘supplementary’ number balls which follow the ‘winning’ numbers draw. These two numbers have been included to create more prize tiers. If players match a minimum of four ‘winning’ numbers plus the two ‘supplementary’ numbers they can be in line to win substantial cash prizes as well.
