Richest Pets Living The Lottery Life

23-May-2012

These little darlings are millionaires, and they have the diamond collars, mini-mansions and designer fragrances to prove it! That’s right folks, PlayHugeLottos.com takes a look at the world’s richest pets.

As lottery players we are of course interested in the wonderful world of the rich and famous. For some the fame is negotiable, in fact, anonymity is oftentimes a lottery winner’s best friend. The money, of course, is never negotiable!

These days wealth is not just consigned to the realm of humans. The fact is, some of the world’s wealthiest people would much rather leave their fortunes to a furry companion than to their human friends and relatives.

Behold the World’s Richest Pets

PlayHugeLottos.com has searched the globe and collected a list of the richest animals in the world. In fact, many of these animals are richer than a lot of lottery winners out there!

Gunther IV - Without a doubt Gunther IV is the richest German Shepherd in the world. His father, Gunther III, inherited a $124 million trust fund in 1992 upon the death of his owner, Countess Karlotta Liebenstein. Gunther III then left his wealth to his son Gunther IV. This poochie property tycoon bought Madonna’s old Miami mansion. The growing trust fund of Gunther IV is now estimated at an astonishing $372 million.

Kalu the Chimp - How about a chimpanzee? Kalu inherited Patricia O’Neill’s $109 million fortune to ensure her husband wouldn’t get a penny. The fortune includes a farm and mansion in Australia.

Meet Tobey Rimes, richer than many lottery winners out there...

Tobey Rimes

Tobey Rimes – Tobey wasn’t your ordinary dog, he enjoyed living a life of opulence in the New York City home he shared with his owner, Ella Wendel. He didn’t have to worry about giving up that life either as she left him $92 million upon her death.

Keiko - The killer whale that starred in Free Willy films is the richest whale on earth. His total earnings by the time of his death were estimated at $35 million.

Gigoo the $10 Million Chicken – A chicken?  Gigoo received a £10-million present from publishing magnate owner Miles Blackwell.

Trouble – Last but not least we have Trouble Helmsley. Unfortunately for Trouble, relatives of real estate baron Leona Helmsley contested her will and poor Trouble ended up with a mere $2 million instead of the original $12 million he was meant to receive.

It is perhaps somewhat disturbing that animals should be given access (even if only symbolically) to such vast sums of money. That, however, is their owner’s prerogative.

One of the most important things that money can buy a person is freedom and that includes the freedom to gift their money to whomever they may choose, whether it be a cashier that sold them a winning lottery ticket, a favoured friend or family member or even their best pooch.

What do you think? Would you leave a fortune to your pet? Leave a comment below and the best one will receive 5 FREE Euromillions tickets.

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED

Thanks to everyone who took part in our news comments competition. Hopefully our 3 prize winners will shortly get the chance to do some lavishing of their own (on their pets, their friends and family, or even just themselves). Our winners are:

- Martin F.

- Paweł P.

- Tyrone O.

- Аleksei T.

Good luck to all our players on tonight's €116,000,000.00 Euromillions draw!

I would'nt leave a fortune to a pet ever! I would instead leave the fortune in a trust which will help the poor and the disabled probably for the rest of their lives. A million dollars would make a hell of a lot of difference to at least 10 families for 10 years! Why would i waste that money on a pet? Well.... maybe i would gift my dog a nice and cozy kennel and doggie treats for a year just to be nice :)

Posted by Vladimir (23/05/2012)

Well, I bought a pet dog thus. I bought the villa and I lived in pets ... And I do not know how to do zanchi Express penieze much of what will make 'em?? : D

Posted by Pradeep (23/05/2012)

i would leave a fair amount in trust for my pet to see him through his natural life. ofcos i will sweeten up the vet with a commitable sum, to be mindful of my pet and give extra care to him. after the sad demise of my pet the money in trust will be given to the vetinarian hospital and animal shelters around here. WILL ALSO LEAVE A HEFTY SUM TO FEED ANIMALS AROUND HERE FOR A QUITE SOME YEARS AND TAKE CARE OF THEIR MEDICALS ALO FOR THAT TIME!...money can buy kindness!!!!!!

Posted by Sumit (23/05/2012)

Well they say a pet can be a man's best friend. To an extent it's been proven that money can buy everything in this world. Even the power to love freely. So if you believe that your best companion in this life was your pet... If he/she filled those empty voids in your heart, then why not? Its easy to go along with the flow but to do something unique like this, one needs guts with a pinch of craziness. If I am loved most by my pet 'Sky' when I die.. I would give it all to him, because he means family too.

If i love my pet then why i should leave.Love is stronger than million bucks

Posted by Sizo (24/05/2012)

if i had to leave a fortune for my pet, i would leave it in mi sisters capable hands and not sumone else...but leaving a fortune for my pet, don't think its a good idea, what does an animal know about money anyway now come on guys...lets get real about this...

Have a nice dog it is not bad. At least I went out of them at various exhibitions and competitions. :)))

Posted by Dace (24/05/2012)

No thanks! I have kids! And i would be glad to leave everything to them! But if i had a big house, then probably i had some kind of dog, and then i would by to my dog some cosy kenel. :)

Posted by Lukshya (24/05/2012)

Well, I am pretty money minded guy. I would rather leave my brain first for my dog after I die. ( future transplantation.. huh gud idea? Yeh I know. ) PS. He will earn fortune for himself automatically. :-$

Posted by Gergely (25/05/2012)

If I am right, pets don't need to pay taxes, so it can be a good idea to leave my fortune to them.

Posted by Samson (25/05/2012)

PETS ARE IMPORTANT IN OUR LIFE AS WE FIND THEY DO NOT LEAVE US IN RICHNESS OR POVERTY.RICH OLD WOMEN OR MEN ALWAYS HAVE PETS LIKE CATS AND DOGS. WE KNOW FOR COMMON PEOPLE ALSO CATS AND DOGS BECOMES PETS BUT THEY DO HELP US. CATS KEEPS AWAY THE RATS AND DOGS KEEP AWAY STRANGERS. FALCONS ARE USED TO CARRY MESSAGES AND THEY ARE ALSO KEPT AS PETS. LEAVING FORTUNES FOR THE PETS IS A WAY OF SHOWING GRATITUDE AND LOVE. PETS ARE A PART OF OUR LIFE. DOG IS A MAN'S BEST FRIEND AND THERE IS A STORY OF HOW THE DOG HELPED HIS MASTER FROM PERIL BUT HAD TO SACRIFICE ITS LIFE. SOMETIMES PETS DO SACRIFICE THEIR LIVES FOR US. I URGE ALL PET LOVERS TO KEEP PART OF THEIR SAVING FOR PETS.

My dog would be all of gold that rose in value and could be called the golden dog. Should I have a young lion - it is a good thing. :D

I founded the farm in America and Europe from which I had written out the action in Europe and on Wall Sreet. So I would double his fortune ... Wave action on the stock exchange ....

Posted by Vladimir (25/05/2012)

I founded the zoo in Europe after the money that I win the Euromillions. Of course I would also support a charity ...

If I have a pet who is loving n caring and is cute n sweet then I will leave him a fortune........the only downside is the pets won't live to see more than 20years! But I will leave my pet a fortune, pets after all can be your best friend n companion....

In my opinion, it is total madness to leave large amounts of money to an animal as inheritance. Animals do cannot use their own discretion to decide what to do with the money that they have inherited, nor can they decide how the money should be spent or invested. if i were to leave some money to my pet, it would be to ensure that they are always taken care of and have enough to eat. it just does not make sense for animals to inherit large amounts of money. I would ensure that my pet is well taken care of, but i would most definitely leave my money to family members, people in need and organizations and institutions that are instrumental in helping others; it would be a much better way of spending the money. Even though I am an animal- loving person, I just feel that the money could be put to better use.

Posted by Michael (26/05/2012)

I don't think it's wise to leave money to a dog, simply because you cannot make sure that the dog will have it once you're gone. Instead, I would leave the money of a good friend and fellow dog lover with the condition of taking care of my dog :)

Posted by Sundarasrinivasan (26/05/2012)

The dog getting $12,000,000 while the 2 grandchildren getting nothing from Leona Helms's will? well if Helms didn't leave anything at all to her grandchildren then they must of really done something bad or really haven't kept in touch with their grandmother. i guess the dog was her confort for her after all the dog was with her even in campain commercials and what not. the dog was always there and some family was never there. yes it sends ridiculous to give a dog money when a dog doesn't know the difference between a $100 pillow and a $1 pillow that it's sleeping on and obviously doesn't care but i guess she really LOVED her dog more than her grandchildren. In my opinion, I would leave most of my inheritance to my wife and sons and make adequate provisions for my pet. There are people who are very fond of their pets who have been their friends and companions over a long period of time. Then, there are children who have been abusive and neglectful to their parents and probably don't deserve a penny. One thing that is for sure, a person has a right to leave their money exactly where they want it to go, whether it's to people who act worse than animals at times or to animals who have loyalty and kindness far outweighing that of a human being.

Posted by Sophie (26/05/2012)

I love animals, animals are important to the people. But there are limits and this thing is a cross border.

Posted by Boris (27/05/2012)

I think when people leave to an animal the kind of money that most would consider a handsome sum for a human, what they are really doing is demonstrating not just that they have a singularly icky relationship with their pet, but that they also have a lamentably distorted sense of priorities. If you don't have anybody to leave your money to, give it to charity! All pets really need is enough food and place to live, someone to love them. And, more importantly, what will pet do if owner not around? All the fortune in the world wouldn't help.

The main reason why dogs are so short-lived, for the human race is rooted in compassion. Believe how much of a dog suffering from the loss of a sense of grief for ten or twelve years after acquaintance ... Imagine what it would feel if after a loss twice as much to them! " I wish people understood that the same animals vulnerable, and just depend on us as kids, this guardianship conferred upon us. " . "My dog is coming to fill the vacuum left by unfaithful friends in my heart. It has no envy, malice or hatred. Do not tell my secrets, do not be jealous of my success and pleasure in my sorrow. " . "... Once and for all become responsible, what you have tamed." . "If befogadsz a starving dog and take care of him, he will not bite. This is the main difference between a dog and a man." . "Dogs do not interpret the enthusiasm decisive proof that wonderful man!" . "There is no better in the world lélekgyógyász licking your face kiskutyánál. " . "Finally you get home. Dog jumps around your neck. - Where have you been? suited me so long! Missed you, missed you, missed you! I love you, love you, love you! What is the szatyrodban? Do not you be mine? Oo, let me quickly nyaljalak tab! Ham, just a bit grab the gloves off. But good! You home at last! "

Why do you all think that trabi be poor. I think I should get 5 free vouchers for EuroMillions wrong because the pet itself, and thus to a financial site that dog, cat ... what they eat and where to stay ... :)))

Posted by Vladimir (28/05/2012)

Everyone would leave their pet on a hunger-free housing. For it is poverty ....

Posted by Peter (28/05/2012)

I dont think it would be fair to leave a fortune to just one pet. If it was me, I would rather leave it to an animal shelter or the SPCA or even to many charity organisations. That way many people and animals can benefit from it for a long time instead of just one.

Posted by Vladimir (28/05/2012)

Bunnies are gold creatures - pets. I, too, such a cutie.

Posted by Rakesh (29/05/2012)

I will not leave my wealth to my pets. I will give my wealth to charity. That i think is better to do so.

Posted by Gergely (29/05/2012)

@Kovácsovics: if they got the dog from the person who died, they got the money too, plus they didn't need to pay taxes after it, so in the end it was a better a choice :)

Posted by Udit (29/05/2012)

Leaving my wealth to a pet is a great idea , but then who will take care of it.Pets can't manage the wealth that we left for them neither they can spend it in a better way. There should be one who is responsible for taking care of that wealth. So now you tell me how can we left all our fortune for a pet . You have to tell me .

Posted by Vladimir (29/05/2012)

Perhaps it is the dog charity I would put there money if I win therefore that pets have the best ... :)

Posted by Vladislav (29/05/2012)

After I win the Euromillions I'm gonna leave at least 10 million to my siamese cat to do as he pleases. On top of that I'll give him a private wing in my mansion plus his own kitchen full of catfood. Also I'm gonna hire his own personal chef, a butler, and a nanny to pet him and cuddle with him. My cat is going to be the laziest, happiest and the most spoiled cat in the entire world!

Posted by Rekha (30/05/2012)

"Others praise their teachers spirit of thanksgiving, the life of a dog to show me the way" "The dog's best friend - the first to welcome, and the bravest who defends dogs all dogs are not rich and poor alike "We are not wild dogs, but the best friend of the name, because it will be our friend forever, forever, forever." "It is said that luck is his one true friend in their lives. We are dog people are lucky that we may share our lives one dog. How much more lucky for those who are more dog-friendly of experience with. When a pack we live with many of our best friends are . " The dog getting $12,000,000 while the 2 grandchildren getting nothing from Leona Helms's will? well if Helms didn't leave anything at all to her grandchildren then they must of really done something bad or really haven't kept in touch with their grandmother. i guess the dog was her confort for her after all the dog was with her even in campain commercials and what not. the dog was always there and some family was never there. yes it sends ridiculous to give a dog money when a dog doesn't know the difference between a $100 pillow and a $1 pillow that it's sleeping on and obviously doesn't care but i guess she really LOVED her dog more than her grandchildren. Why do you all think that trabi be poor. I think I should get 5 free vouchers for EuroMillions wrong because the pet itself, and thus to a financial site that dog, cat ... what they eat and where to stay ... :) Everyone would leave their pet on a hunger-free housing. For it is poverty .. I dont think it would be fair to leave a fortune to just one pet. If it was me, I would rather leave it to an animal shelter or the SPCA or even to many charity organisations. That way many people and animals can benefit from it for a long time instead of just one. Bunnies are gold creatures - pets. I, too, such a cutie. I will not leave my wealth to my pets. I will give my wealth to charity. That i think is better to do so. if they got the dog from the person who died, they got the money too, plus they didn't need to pay taxes after it, so in the end it was a better a choice :) Leaving my wealth to a pet is a great idea , but then who will take care of it.Pets can't manage the wealth that we left for them neither they can spend it in a better way. There should be one who is responsible for taking care of that wealth. So now you tell me how can we left all our fortune for a pet . You have to tell me . Perhaps it is the dog charity I would put there money if I win therefore that pets have the best After I win the Euromillions I'm gonna leave at least 10 million to my siamese cat to do as he pleases. Ya i will leave my wealth to my dog and this is a good idea to do so. My dog loves me so much and i also loves him. Expensive clothes for dogs of gold and diamonds ... for several million € ...
