Psychic Gorilla Picks Mega Millions Numbers

As the hype surrounding the record Mega Millions jackpot from 30th March begins to die down PlayHugeLottos.com investigates one of the stranger stunts pulled to get the winning numbers before the draw – consulting a psychic gorilla named Colo.

People around the world have consulted some truly bizarre oracles when the need arises. Many of you may remember Paul the psychic Octopus who famously predicted a series of winners in the 2010 Football World Cup including correctly predicting Spain to beat Netherlands in the final. Well, America has an answer to the psychic Octopus, namely, Colo the gorilla.

Colo the gorilla rose to fame when she correctly predicted the winner of the NCAA men’s tournament in the States. She is not only known as a lucky, psychic gorilla but also as both the first gorilla born in human captivity and the oldest gorilla in a zoo (she is 55 years old).

Back in March this year camera crews travelled to the Colombus, Ohio Zoo that houses Colo to ask her a very important question – a $640 million USD question: What will the winning numbers be for the record breaking Mega Millions jackpot?

5 Onions And A Turnip

Curious lotto pundits marked a set of onions 1 to 56 and a set of turnips 1 to 46. Colo was then allowed to browse the onions and turnips, selecting the numbers that she favoured. The onions selected were used as the white balls, the turnip was used as the mega ball.

It should perhaps come as no surprise that the numbers she selected were completely incorrect.

Colo’s Mega Millions prediction: 9, 12, 21, 31, 41 and Mega Number 9

The actual winning numbers: 2, 4, 23, 38, 46 and Mega Number 23

Of course, this was nothing more than a publicity stunt for the record breaking Mega Millions lottery draw. But we are sure that many lottery fans were still very disappointed that Colo’s numbers never came in.

Just because Colo failed doesn’t mean that you will! Give yourself the benefit of the doubt and pick your own set of onions and a mega turnip for this week’s Mega Millions draw.
