One could be forgiven for being cynical at the timing of Julie Gamble’s plea to her son to heal a feud that has gone on for the last 7 years. The 49 year old mom has sworn that financial incentives play no part in her sudden desire to resurrect her relationship with her son.

“I have no interest in any of his millions,” says Mrs Gamble, “I don't want his money, I would just love to get my son back.”

“I would tell him to remember a few things: I am your mum, I will always love you, I may not like you but I will always love you. And I am here if you ever need me.”

Her son, Matt Topham, made news recently when he and his fiancé Cassey Carrington took home over £45,160,170.50 on the Euromillions lottery. Since his parents divorced 7 years ago Matt has barely seen his mother, the last time being on Christmas 2004. Matt has rejected his mother’s plea for reconciliation; accusing her of mistreating other members of his family and claiming she had forced him out of her life.
